Specialized scored a big double on Saturday as Todd Wells and Lea Davison claimed the overall USA Cycling Pro XCT series titles at the Catamount Classic in Vermont.
The race was the final event in the 2013 Pro XCT.
The 5.75km course at the Catamount Outdoor Family Center in Williston featured short, steep climbs and descents, rock gardens, and a blend of single-track and wider trails.
Max Plaxton (Sho-Air-Cannondale) won the men’s race ahead of U.S. national champion Stephen Ettinger (BMC). But Wells finished third, good enough to take the overall title.
In the women’s race, Davison left nothing to chance. The Vermonter won her event ahead of Catharine Pendrel (Luna) and Mary McConneloug (Kenda-Stan’s NoTubes) to confirm her series victory.
